What is the best LED lighting for your warehouse?

Our lighting advisors and project managers have extensive experience in warehouse lighting. Together, we will develop the optimal lighting solution that combines safety, efficiency, and functionality, from storage areas to workstations, aisles, and loading/unloading zones. We guide you through the entire process: from lighting advice and design to delivery and installation.

Below you will find some guidelines specifically for warehouse lighting. Of course, we tailor everything to your location, working conditions, and specific requirements:

- Colour temperature: usually between 4000K and 5000K for bright, efficient lighting that promotes productivity and ensures a highly visible work environment.

- Beam Angle: use 60º–90º for broad general lighting in warehouse spaces and 25º–40º for focused lighting in work zones or aisles.

- Color Rendering (CRI): choose CRI80 or higher for an accurate representation of colors and details: essential for efficient work and inventory management.

- Light Output: on average, we recommend fixtures of 2000–5000 lumens, depending on the function and size of the space, from well-lit workstations to general lighting in storage and aisle areas.

Step 1: Introduction

The first step is simple: contact us! You can do this by email, phone, or by using the form at the bottom of the page. During this conversation, we will discuss your requirements, type of business, and work environment. This gives us a clear picture of your goals and lighting needs. Step 2: Create a light calculation

Once we understand your situation, our lighting advisor will create a technical lighting calculation in Dialux. This plan includes a floor plan with the exact positions, light intensities, and beam angles of the fixtures. This allows you to see what the final result will look like in advance and which lighting is technically the most efficient. The lighting plan is not only the basis for the desired result but also a practical tool for the installer during installation.

Step 3: Discuss the lighting plan

After the initial version of the lighting plan, we will discuss all the details together. We will demonstrate how the lighting optimizes your workspace in terms of light level, energy savings, and comfort. During this consultation, you can provide feedback or add specific requirements. Step 4: Create a quote

With the final lighting plan, we select the LED fixtures that best match your requirements, budget, and desired quality. We work exclusively with reliable brands and energy-efficient products that meet current standards. Our quote provides you with a clear overview of the investment, savings, and expected lifespan, so you know exactly what to expect.

Step 5: Delivery and Installation

Upon your approval, we will schedule the delivery of the products at your desired time. Do you not have an installer yet? We are happy to assist you through our network of experienced professionals. If you already have your own installer, we will ensure they receive all the necessary technical information. This ensures the installation proceeds smoothly, safely, and according to plan, allowing you to immediately benefit from optimal LED commercial lighting.

Hoeveel lux is vereist voor goede magazijnverlichting?

Volgens de NEN-EN 12464-1 norm wordt voor magazijnen een verlichtingsniveau van minimaal 150 lux aanbevolen in opslagzones en 300 lux op werkstations of laadzones. De juiste hoeveelheid licht zorgt voor veiligheid, efficiënt werken en voorkomt vermoeidheid bij medewerkers.

Wat is de beste verlichting voor een magazijn?

De beste magazijnverlichting is helder, gelijkmatig en energiezuinig. LED-verlichting is ideaal dankzij de hoge lichtopbrengst, lange levensduur en lage energiekosten. Met een goed ontworpen lichtplan worden werkplekken, gangpaden en opslagzones optimaal en veilig verlicht.

Hoe kun je energie besparen met LED-magazijnverlichting?

Met moderne LED-armaturen bespaar je tot 70% energie ten opzichte van conventionele verlichting. Door gebruik te maken van bewegingssensoren en daglichtsturing brandt het licht alleen waar en wanneer het nodig is. Dat maakt LED een duurzame én kostenefficiënte oplossing voor magazijnen.

Welke kleurtemperatuur is geschikt voor magazijnverlichting?

Een kleurtemperatuur tussen 4000K en 5000K is ideaal voor magazijnen. Dit neutraal tot koel witte licht zorgt voor helder zicht en bevordert concentratie en veiligheid. Het maakt etiketten, productcodes en obstakels goed zichtbaar, ook in hoge of diepe opslagruimtes.

Op welke hoogte moeten LED-armaturen in een magazijn worden gemonteerd?

De montagehoogte hangt af van de ruimte en het type armatuur. In kleinere magazijnen volstaat vaak 3 tot 6 meter, terwijl in hoge hallen (tot 12 meter of meer) high-bay LED-armaturen de beste lichtverdeling geven. Een Dialux-lichtplan bepaalt precies wat nodig is voor jouw situatie.
