Installing an outdoor socket?
Installing an outdoor socket yourself? This is no problem, as it works the same as with a normal socket. Of course you will need power cables to connect it. The most common cable for connecting a waterproof socket is a ground cable. The disadvantage is that it is somewhat less flexible. Furthermore, the connection is the same.Below we have shown an image in which you can see how the connection of an outdoor socket works and how the connection of an outdoor changeover switch works.
- Connection of an outdoor socket
You install an outdoor socket to connect the phase wire (brown), earth cable (green/yellow) and the neutral wire (blue) to the socket.
- Connection of a moisture-resistant changeover switch
You connect a changeover switch with a phase wire (brown) and a switch wire (black). You then run the switch wire (black) onwards to, for example, your lighting in order to switch your lighting this way.
