LED T8 Tube Lighting
LED tube lighting is commonly used in warehouses, industrial halls and sheds. LED tubes are designated with a T5 or T8 code. A T5 code refers to a tube with a diameter of 5 cm. A T8 code refers to a tube with a diameter of 2.5 cm. These types of tubes are available in various lengths.
You save up to 85% on your energy costs with LED tubes compared to traditional fluorescent lighting.
An LED tube contains no toxic substances, making the LED tube environmentally friendly. In addition, the service life is longer (30,000 – 50,000 operating hours). As a result, the LED tube does not need to be replaced frequently.
You will generally recoup your investment in an LED tube within 2 years.

The step-by-step plan above shows how to install an LED fluorescent tube in an “old” fixture. However, we advise against installing LED fluorescent tubes in “old” fixtures when you intend to install multiple LED fluorescent tubes (from 8 units onwards). This is because “old” fixtures contain a ballast (VSA) and starter. One disadvantage of this is that it can drastically reduce the lifespan of an LED fluorescent tube. There is also a much greater disadvantage/risk. The power supply in an “old” fixture remains the same. Power consumption decreases due to the energy savings of the LED fluorescent tube. As a result, the voltage in the wiring therefore increases. When a large number of “old” fixtures are connected in series in this way, the voltage can become too high. The risk of this is that the wires can melt and cause a fire. The advice from
