There are a number of things to take into account. These are:

  • Cut-out size (determine or check your current cut-out hole)
  • Recessed depth (is there enough space in the ceiling?)
  • Voltage
  • Dimmable or non-dimmable spot
  • Light colour (the most common is warm light)
  • Waterproof or non-waterproof
  • Tiltable or non-tiltable

This depends on whether you have a recessed spotlight with a fixed light source (integrated) or a separate light source (GU10 spot). A fixed light source cannot be replaced. However, a GU10 spot is easy to replace by removing the fixture from the ceiling, unscrewing the fitting, and then inserting a new GU10 spot.

Yes, that is not a problem; you can connect them in both series and parallel. To achieve this, wire connectors are easy to use for daisy-chaining.

You need a recessed spotlight with an IP rating of IP44 or IP65. Therefore, pay close attention to the IP rating of a recessed spotlight if you intend to use it in your bathroom or outdoors.

LED Recessed Spotlights: stylish, energy-efficient and functional

LED recessed spotlights are one of the most popular forms of modern lighting. They combine a sleek design with efficient energy consumption and fit into virtually any space: from living room and kitchen to office, shop or bathroom.
At LedLoket you will find an extensive range of LED recessed spotlights in various sizes, light colours and styles, perfectly tailored to your lighting needs.

What are LED recessed spotlights?

A recessed spotlight is a compact light source that is neatly recessed into the ceiling. This creates a minimalist and sleek appearance, while the light can be directed or evenly distributed.LED recessed spotlights are available in a variety of light colors, brightness levels, and sizes.
They are ideal as ambient lighting, but can also serve as functional main lighting in modern interiors.

At LedLoket you will find, among others:

  • Waterproof LED recessed spotlights for bathrooms (with IP44–IP68).
  • Tiltable spots that allow you to easily direct the light beam.
  • Shallow recessed spotlights for ceilings with limited space.

Why choose LED recessed spotlights?

LED lighting is the sustainable successor to halogen and energy-saving lamps. Thanks to its high efficiency, LED spots convert up to 90% of the energy into light instead of heat. As a result, they consume up to 90% less electricity than traditional lamps and last on average 25 times longer.

In addition, LED spots do not get hot, making them safer and reducing the risk of fire.
You will quickly recoup your investment thanks to lower energy costs and fewer replacements in the long term.

Key advantages of LED recessed spots:

  • Long lifespan: up to 25,000 hours.
  • Low energy consumption: up to 90% more efficient than halogen.
  • No heat generation: safe and sustainable.
  • Available in various light colors and styles.
  • Sleek finish for a modern look.

GU10 recessed spots: replaceable and flexible

Many LED recessed spots from LedLoket are equipped with a GU10 fitting. This means you can install the desired LED spot yourself and easily replace it if necessary. You determine the beam angle yourself: choose a narrow beam to accentuate objects, or a wider angle for even lighting.

Our GU10 spots are available in a variety of colors, specifications and combinations, which spreads the light in an atmospheric and diffuse manner. This way you combine technical quality with a stylish design.

What should you consider when purchasing recessed spots?

  • Dimensions: check the cut-out diameter and available installation depth.
  • Light color: 2700K (warm white) for ambiance, 4000K (neutral white) for task lighting.
  • IP rating: for damp spaces at least IP44 or higher.
  • Fixed or tiltable spots: directional light offers more flexibility.
