LED tube bundles
LED tube lighting is commonly used in warehouses, industrial halls, and barns. This lighting is suitable for both residential and commercial use. The tube types are available in various lengths. With LED tubes, you save up to 85% on your energy costs compared to traditional fluorescent lighting. Furthermore, LED tubes contain no toxic substances, making them environmentally friendly. They also have a longer lifespan (30,000 – 50,000 burning hours), meaning the LED tube rarely needs to be replaced. LedLoket offers up to 5 years of warranty on tube lighting, allowing you to enjoy worry-free lighting from LedLoket. You typically earn back your investment in an LED tube within 2 years. You can also come to us for matching LED tube fixtures .
Which LED tube light do I need?
LedLoket cannot determine for you which LED tube light you need. This depends on your specific requirements and preferences for an LED tube light. Of course, we can advise you to help you make the right choice. The following points are important when purchasing an LED tube light:
- What length do you need? Tube lights are available in 60cm, 90cm, 105cm, 120cm, and 150cm. If you are also purchasing new LED tube fixtures, you can choose between these sizes. LedLoket recommends an 18W – 120cm tube light for a low ceiling. For a high ceiling, we recommend a 22W-24W 150cm tube light. The other sizes are installed less frequently and are often used for special purposes.
- What diameter LED tube light do you need? The most common diameters for a tube light are T8 (26mm) and T5 (16mm). Therefore, please check carefully which one you need.
- LED tube lights are available in three light colors. At LedLoket we have divided the light colors into: 3000K (warm white), 4000K (natural white) and 6000K (daylight white). For more information, check out: “Color temperature (Kelvin) and light color”
- What light output do you prefer? Light output is expressed in lumens per watt. The higher the number of lumens per watt, the greater the light intensity of an LED tube light.
How do I install a tube light?
Using an LED starter, an LED tube light is very easy to install within your current fluorescent fixture.See the step-by-step plan below:
- Unscrew the old starter from the fixture
- Unscrew the old fluorescent tube from the fixture
- Insert the new LED starter
- Install the new LED fluorescent tube
- Turn the power back on
The step-by-step plan above outlines how to install an LED fluorescent tube in an "old" fixture. However, we do not recommend installing LED fluorescent tubes in "old" fixtures if you are installing multiple LED fluorescent tubes (8 or more). This is because "old" fixtures contain a ballast and a starter. A disadvantage of this is that it can drastically reduce the lifespan of an LED fluorescent tube. There is an even greater disadvantage/danger. The power supply in an "old" fixture remains the same. Power consumption decreases due to the energy savings of the LED fluorescent tube. As a result, the voltage in the wiring increases. When a large number of these "old" fixtures are connected in series this way, the voltage can become too high. The danger of this is that the wires can melt and cause a fire. Ledloket 's advice is therefore to convert "old fixtures" or install new LED fluorescent fixtures.
