1-Phase Track Lighting

The single-circuit LED track system is used by both private individuals and businesses. For example, the track system is installed in kitchens and living rooms, but is also suitable for use in restaurants, hotels, and shops. The single-phase track can be used with just one power connection. The LED lighting can be easily placed in the track, and the track spots can then be aligned as desired.

1 Phase Track Lighting

The 1-phase track lighting is highly versatile. A track system enables you to illuminate a wide variety of objects. This is possible because the spots can be tilted 180 degrees and rotated 360 degrees. This allows you to always illuminate an object, such as a painting, in the desired way.

LED 1-Phase Track Systems are not only attractive and convenient but also pay for themselves quickly. You can save up to 60% on your current energy costs when you switch to LED lighting.

LedLoket has a wide range of 1 Phase track lighting. Furthermore, we offer all the components required to create a complete 1 Phase Track System. The range includes corner pieces, T-pieces and internal connectors, among other items. A 1 Phase Track System is available in black and white.

What is 1-phase track lighting?

1-phase track lighting is a track system where you can power an entire track from a single power point at once. The installation is very simple and you can easily add and/or remove extra track spots. This way you always have the desired light intensity in the room. Because you can make a 1-phase track system as long as you want, you can also distribute the track spots better, which makes the light coverage much larger than when you only place one surface-mounted spot over your central junction box. In addition, 1-phase track lighting is also dimmable and you can dim it i.c.m. with a dimmable track spot and an LED dimmer. 1-phase track lighting is therefore also very atmospheric when desired. In short, the ideal lighting for every space!

1-Phase Rails

Using 1-Phase rails you can assemble your own rail system. 1-Phase rails are available in multiple lengths and colors. For most rails, a power connector and end cap are supplied as standard; this is always specified in the description.
In 1-phase rail lighting, the electricity runs between two wires. The electricity flows between the neutral wire (N) and the phase wire (L). Because the rails have two wires, all rail spots are on 1 phase. This means that all LED light sources on the rail are controlled together. All light sources are switched on or off or dimmed together.

Assembling a 1-Phase Rail System

LED 1-Phase rail spots can be easily installed in the 1-Phase rails. The spotlights are available in various designs and colors. LED 1-Phase rail systems are applicable in homes, among other things. Depending on certain factors, they are also suitable for business environments. Furthermore, a 1-Phase rail system can also be combined with smart lighting, for example with Philips Hue.
Most spots for the 1-Phase rail lighting feature a GU10 fitting. Here you can insert a GU10 spot of your choice. For each fixture, the appropriate fitting and light source is specified.

1-Phase rail complete sets

In addition to selling the products separately, we have also compiled complete sets. This makes it extra easy for you to order the right products. The 1-Phase rail complete sets consist of a rail (including power connector and end cap), rail spots and any connectors. These sets can be connected directly to the mains power; you do not need a transformer for this. For the track spots, you only need to order the appropriate light sources.

Mounting and installing 1-phase track lighting

Mounting and installing 1-phase track lighting is easy to perform. We have also made a video about this; feel free to watch the video so you know what you need for mounting and installing a 1-phase track system.

Mounting:

  1. Ceiling type, ensure you have the correct plugs/screws etc. for the ceiling type where you want to mount the 1-phase track lighting. For example: with a plasterboard ceiling, butterfly plugs are useful, thereby creating more load-bearing capacity.
  2. Determine where the track system should be installed. Ensure that this is at or near a power point, or that you can easily route power to this location.
  3. Mark where the tracks must be mounted. Lasers that project a line on the ceiling are also widely used.
  4. Drill the holes and install the plugs.
  5. Take the 1-phase track and screw it to the ceiling.
  6. When you want to extend or connect the tracks, ensure that you first slide it into the internal connector and then mark the holes. Otherwise the holes will not align.

Installation:

  1. Once the 1-phase rail has been mounted, you can connect it easily. As you should have mounted it (if done correctly) close to a power outlet. Ensure that a Brown/Black (L) and Blue (N) cable runs to the 1-phase rail.
  2. Connect the L (phase wire) and N (neutral wire) to the power connector. This is indicated on the connector. An earth wire is not strictly necessary but can be connected if you consider it desirable.
  3. Place the 1-phase rail spots in the rail.
  4. Switch on the power and check whether the rail spots light up. If they do not turn on, try rotating the rail spots 180 degrees and reinstalling them in the rail.

Frequently asked questions about track lighting

Where is 1-phase track lighting typically used?

1-phase track lighting is often used in homes, shops, and showrooms.

Can I use different types of lamps on a 1-phase track?

Yes, you can use different types of lamps on a 1-phase track, such as LED spots or pendant lights, as long as they are compatible with the 1-phase system. It offers a great deal of freedom to combine various fixtures for a unique lighting setup.

Can I extend my 1-phase track lighting?

Yes, 1-phase track lighting is extendable. You can connect multiple tracks together to create a longer track or make corners using special connectors. The system is very flexible, allowing you to easily adapt it to the specific lighting needs of your space.

Are 1-phase track lighting systems dimmable?

Yes, many 1-phase track lighting systems can be dimmed, provided that the bulbs used are dimmable and you use a suitable dimmer. Always check if both the fixtures and the dimmer are compatible with LED lighting if you are using LED bulbs.

What is the maximum length of a 1-phase track system?

The maximum length of a 1-phase track system depends on the amount of wattage the track can support and the manufacturer's specifications. In most cases, multiple tracks can be connected to create longer light lines, provided the power supply and the system allow for it.
