What should you consider when purchasing dimmable LED downlights?

- The IP rating is important for LED downlights in wet areas, such as a bathroom. The front of the downlight must be at least IP44 if you wish to install the downlight in your bathroom.
- When choosing dimmable LED downlights, the light colour is also an important consideration. Different parts of a building therefore require different light colours. For example, 3000K (warm white) is suitable for waiting areas or shops, and 4000K (natural white) works well in offices or supermarkets.
Dimmable LED Recessed Downlights
LED downlights are often mounted in a suspended ceiling. You need to cut the correct opening size from the ceiling. Then mount the downlight in the ceiling. After that, you can connect it to the mains power. All our dimmable LED downlights are suitable for recessed installation. We also offer the LED recessed and surface-mounted downlight. This downlight can be installed both recessed and surface-mounted, as a mounting plate is also supplied.
How do you dim LED downlights?
Would you like to adjust the light intensity of the LED downlight, in other words, dim it? This is possible. All these LED downlights are optionally dimmable. This means that you also need to purchase and install a standard
220V dimmer . For the 'smart' series, you also need to purchase an additional
dimmable driver . If a downlight is optionally dimmable upon purchasing a dimmable driver, this is always indicated.Dimming the lighting has a major advantage. When you dim dimmable LED downlights, you can save additional energy. After all, dimming does not consume the full electrical capacity, which means you save extra money on your energy bill.
