What's in the set and how do you configure the system?
This complete 1-phase track system with spots consists of two 1-meter aluminum track sections (2 meters total), four black PLUTO track spots with GU10 fitting, an I-shaped connector, an L-shaped connector, a power connector, and mounting materials including screws and plugs. The included connectors immediately provide two configuration options: the I-shape for a straight setup along the ceiling, and the L-shape for a right-angle layout. The 2-meter track provides sufficient length for a kitchen, living room, or hallway. Need a different configuration? With extra track sections and separate connectors, you can also create a U- or T-configuration. The aluminum track can be cut to size with a hacksaw. The track spots are rotatable and tiltable, allowing you to precisely aim each light at a countertop, a dining table, or a piece of art on the wall.
Which GU10 lamp do you use with this track system?
The PLUTO track spots have a GU10 fitting and are suitable for LED lamps up to a maximum of 35 watts per spot. The lamp you choose depends on the space and the desired effect. For an atmospheric living room or bedroom, a 2700K warm white lamp is the best choice. In the kitchen, a neutral 4000K lamp works well for bright, functional light on the countertop. Do you want to be able to control the light intensity? This track system is dimmable in combination with a dimmable GU10 LED lamp and a suitable LED wall dimmer. The track system itself does not have a built-in dimmer.
When should you choose a 1-phase track system?
A 1-phase track system switches all spots on or off simultaneously via a single circuit.This is the standard choice for home use: easy to connect to mains power (220-240V), suitable for the living room, kitchen, and bedroom, and can be operated directly via a standard wall switch or dimmer. A 3-phase track system has three separately switchable circuits on the same track, allowing you to control separate lighting zones. This is particularly useful in shops and commercial spaces.
