The fixture of a lamp is the (usually metal or plastic) supporting structure in which 1 or more light sources are mounted. The fixture is the enclosure that, in combination with the light source, could be referred to by many people as the ‘lamp’. Fixtures in lighting serve various purposes. They have a supporting function for lamps (bulbs) and also ensure that the connection of the light source to the mains power is protected.
LED fixtures are lamp fixtures with LED lighting as the light source. More and more often, conventional lighting is already being replaced preventively by LED lamps.
